Zebra Technologies Wins Three Red Dot Design Awards

Zebra’s TC501 & TC701, the WS301 and WS101 wearable computers, and the DS82 series of scanners were recognized as Red Dot Award winners.

Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that it has won three Red Dot awards in the 2026 Product Design category.

The Red Dot Design Awards honored the outstanding design of Zebra’s AI-powered TC501 and TC701 mobile computers and charging ecosystem, the WS301 and WS101 wearable computers, and the DS82 series of scanners.

This internationally recognized seal of outstanding design quality honors the innovation and functionality built into Zebra’s solutions for the connected frontline.

The Red Dot jury singled out Zebra’s solutions for their quality design, providing frontline workers with the user experience that makes work better every day.

“These awards validate the talent and effort our design teams pour into every device,” said James Morley-Smith, Head of Customer Experience Design, Zebra Technologies. “We design hardware and software that brings AI directly to frontline workers. Equipping teams with innovative tools provides them with actionable insights and improves real-time decision-making.”

The TC501 and TC701 mobile computers empower retail, logistics, and postal teams, for example, by future-proofing operations with advanced on-device AI and integrated short-range UHF RFID.

The WS301 and WS101 wearable computers unify the workforce with hands-free communication and voice-centric AI that makes operations simple and intuitive.

The standalone WS301 wearable computer allows retail associates to perform tasks and look up items using voice commands. The compact WS101 communication badge adds powerful hands-free voice support to existing mobile computers, providing crystal-clear audio quality even in noisy environments and a dedicated duress button to instantly summon help.

The DS82 scanner series features a multi-function button to streamline workflows, RFID to boost inventory accuracy, and an advanced 2MP optical system that captures more barcodes with greater accuracy.

Meanwhile, the DS82-HC scanner for healthcare is designed for modern care environments, with disinfectant-ready housing, a sealed inductive trigger, and antimicrobial labels so it’s easier to clean between uses.
